In the past three decades the development of oil fields and commercial port activities plus the rapid growth of the fishing and shipyard industries in the Persian Gulf and Caspian Sea has resulted in a vast new market for specialised workers in all marine related building and maintenance activities.
Iranian Marine Technology Diving Institute (IMTDI) was founded in 2002 to provide professional diving training to young people to prepare them for the careers in marine technology.
The director’s twenty two years experience in maritime industries, diving, salvage, detailed knowledge of The Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea and long experience of the market together with a group of experienced trainers provide solid, qualified technical foundations for the courses.
At the end of the course all candidates are certified following TVTO examination.
These are recognised worldwide based on ILO (International Labour Organization) agreement.
Most importantly, the holders benefit from advantages of a TVTO certificate in the national job market.
Courses available:
1- TVTO Grade 3 Certificate (ILO standards 9-59/94)
2- TVTO Grade 2 Certificate (ILO standards 9-59/93)
3- TVTO Grade 1 Certificate (ILO standards 9-59/92)
The Institute is based in Tehran with branches in two locations in the Persian Gulf and two further locations in the Caspian Sea.
Hossien Aghakhani the manager director has a degree in Doctor of Arts in Commercial Diving from the Rochville University in the USA and has 22 years experience in this sector.
Certificates of all instructors are subject to reviewed extended each year by TVTO every year.
Annual inspections apply also to the equipment used in the training. |
